Kaohsiung International Airport (KIA) is a member of the Airports Council International (ACI) and has been concerned and implemented energy saving and carbon reduction initiatives for many years.
Furthermore, KIA has been participated in the Airport Carbon Accreditation program and became the first airport in Taiwan to merit the Level 3 ‘Optimization’ of ACA Certification in 2016.
To continue to implement the airport greenhouse gas reduction policy, reduce environmental pollution around the airport, and fulfill its social and global environmental responsibilities, KIA will continue to acquire the Level 3 ACA Certification by improving the technology and management related to carbon reduction. KIA also actively encourages Airlines and passengers to participate in the airport’s energy conservation and carbon reduction activities. KIA will strive to achieve the ideal goal of becoming a carbon-neutral airport.
